TE PUKE EXCHANGE

Once upon a time there was a couple of elf's... OK I will stop with the fairy tail stuff. A couple days ago Vardon School techsperx went on an exchange with Te Puke school. It was hard out WACKO by that I mean it was AWESOMENESS!!! It started by meeting up at the Hamilton museum because we were going to the how to make a monster exhibition. That took most of the day away but after that we went to WATER WORLD!!! There we went on the hydro slides. Man, was it fun. When I went on the black tube folded my arms and legs and went up the WALL and unfortunately what goes up must come down so I fell down landing on my stomach? Yeah, it was it my stomach. Then we went back to Vardon School and set up our beds. The cool thing was the Te Puke school brought 5 iPads and Loads of iPods so we played on them. When it got dark we had some dinner and lucky for me because it was HAMBURGERS!!! After that we settled into our beds but don't worry we couldn't of gone to bed that early so we watched a movie MONSTERS VS ALIENS!!! I am really using capitals for this post. Halfway throughout the movie the teachers brought some biscuits into the room so of course there was a scramble for them. Did you know that the most dangerous thing on earth is an angry and hungry pack of kids? when the movie was over it was time for bed but you know what's its like when children (especially girls) have sleepovers. Chatter, Chatter, Sneeze, Chatter, Talk, Cough, Talk. When got to sleep it was probably 1:00 in the morning. But guess what we woke up at 6:00. We had breakfast which was toast or weet-bix and then we went out to PLAY ON THE PLAY GROUND!!! Yeah, I exaggerated a bit it wasn't that exciting. The rest of the day was just showing Te Puke around and hanging about but after lunch it was time for Te Puke to leave Vardon. So, yeah was a cool day... OK now I just under exaggerated. Here it comes...

IT WAS AN AWESOMENESS DAY!!!!!

SPEECHES 2012

This week we are writing our speeches. It has to be about discovery. There were loads of choices but I chose voyager 1 and 2. Now right now I bet you are thinking "what is voyager 1 and 2" so I am going to type out my first draft here on this post. Hope you like it...

What would you spend 865 million dollars on?

NASA spent it on 2 space probes, Voyager 1 and 2. Now, these space probes are no ordinary space probes they have been then any other human or space craft on planet earth!!!!! well they are not on earth now they are in they heliosheath which is.....um.....way out in space. Voyager 1 and 2 were launched in 1977 and are still right now exploring the wonders that space brings. They have been for roughly around 34 years, 8 months and 18 days. You ten year olds out there, the voyagers have been going for over 3 times your life!!!!!!!!! These space probes are REALLY heavy. They are 722 kgs each. Think of your dad and how many of him would make up to 1 of them!!! The voyagers were and are still doing a mission to take photos and send them back to earth so scientists can learn about space. Recently Voyager 1 took a photo of earth and well you couldn't see it!!!! All you could see was the sun which was the same size as a speck. Voyager 1 has been past Saturn and Jupiter. While Voyager 2 has been past Jupiter, Saturn, Mars and Neptune. Voyager 2 is going the opposite direction to Voyager 1 because when voyager 2 went past Jupiter it got caught in Jupiter's gravity. Fortunately instead of crashing into Jupiter Voyager 2 wasn't close enough inside the gravity so it got sling-shot around Jupiter and went the other way. Inside the Voyagers there is a golden record with over 100 photos of earth, 90 mins of the worlds greatest music, loads of sounds from earth like dogs barking and children talking and it has greetings from 60 different languages and 1 whale language!!! It even has the brainwaves of a woman in love!!!!! It was made by Carl Sagan who made it so if 1 of the Voyagers happen to crash and aliens come along They will be able to learn about earth. The scientists think that Voyager 1 and 2 will not reach another star in 4 light years. (40,000 years) The Voyagers have discovered many things from giant volcanoes on different planets to more moons like Titan and Europa. So here is a question for you all...

How far into space have YOU been?

Let me know by commenting if you think I need to change anything.

SPOONERISMS

Today, at this very hour, at this very minute, at this very... well, I guess I should start now.

Today, (here we go again) I am about to tell you about spoonerisms. Spoonerisms are things that are quite weird because for an example here is a spoonerism. That is a runny babbit. See they are basicly taking two words out of a sentence and switch the first letters. Here is another one, There is a girl with hong lair. Get it now?

As I said before they are very weird nek minute I will be typing a post about tree octopus's.

RIPPA RUGBY

Hey Everyone, Ont the second of May, Me and 9 other kids went to a Rippa Rugby tournament. There were 5 games to play and we lost 1, drew one 1 and won 1. We even came second in our pool!!! I loved the day because it was challenging, fun and exciting. On our first game I had heaps of butterflies in my stomach and I was really cold because when I was waiting for the our game to start I had my jersey and my shoes on and that was quite warm but when the game started I had to take them off and all I had on was a pair of shorts and a Vardon School T-shirt. My feet felt like they were frozen!!!! Once the day had finished I felt sad because we did not get into the finals. Overall, The day was awesome because I did not have to do the dreaded HOMEWORK!!!!!!!!!!!!

MY BROTHER BROKE HIS FINGER

This is the story of my brother who broke his finger during PE in school. Jack was playing American football and there was a big guy in front of him so he bowled him over and I think that jack said that the big guy landed on his finger and it broke. I'm not sure if this story is entirely true but hey who cares and the bad thing is well it is not bad for jack it is just bad for me, it is that jack know isn't allowed to write or(okay) do the dishes(WAIT WAY UNFAIR) but yay for me, it is not all sweet for him because he is not allowed to play X box for a month. So if your brother breaks something the best thing to do is ignore him.
