Hey,
This is a reflection on my learning of ANZAC and war. We remember the people who fought in war because they risked their lives to save our country and they also fought for what was right. I used to think that war was just an army running at each other with guns (in a muddy place with barbwire everywhere) but now I think that it is a horrible place that IS muddy and HAS barbwire everywhere BUT war is much more than that. Sometimes people are fighting about land, power and wanting to run the country their way. I think that war is a terrible idea because people die and fighting is never the way to settle it. If one country wants another countries land they should never try to fight for it they should either make a deal with the presidant or keep their own country. Some of the things that I learnt are that living in trenches is much harder than it sounds. The soldiers that live in there have to deal with muddy grounds, going mad, and being surronded by dead bodies!! I want to find more information on the war that happened in NZ.The thing I will remember most about war is that the reason most of us are here is because of the sacrifice that the Anzac's made.
