THE TRAGIC END TO ROOM 15

It is sad to say but (sob, sob) I'm leaving Vardon Primary School forever! I know so sad and so bad. (sob, sob) Ohh I am about to cry. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! But I will also keep many memories of this pretty awesome school and my extremely awesome teacher. I know, I know your probably thinking "dont be such a drama queen, you can always vist" but you see it just won't be the same cause my awesome teacher won't be there. He got fired, so how will room15 be awesome? I have no idea but Mr m has got a new job so atleast he will be happy. the 3 best things that happened this year for me were: inter-school cross-country, inter-school athletics and being a school councillor. Inter-school Cross country was by far the best because I came 5th out of 100 people! It wasn't as good as last year because I came 1st. Inter-school athletics was pretty cool I guess. I came 3rd in 200 metre sprints, 3rd in relays, 5th in high jump, (out of 30 kids)  and heck do I know for throwing. It was a reasonably fun day with the hot sun shining on my back. Finally being a school councillor is pretty cool, I guess. We get free badges and we get to get out of school work on wednsdays for councillor meetings. We also have to walk around the school cheaking for rubbish and recording the number4s on a special chart. I loved Vardon School, it is an awesome place and im sure the kids that keep on coming here, year after year love it too.

SAME, SAME BUT DIFFERENT ASSEMBLY

Yo Yo,
It's BOB here and I'm going to tell you about my classes assembly, Same Same but Different.
It is about how people in the world are the same and how they are different.
There were lots of different sorts of things we could act in. There was the game show, The cow to glass skit, the epal skit, Placing the synonyms and loads more. I acted in the cow to glass skit and I was a mad scientist that had to have messy hair and a white coat. I loved that part because as you probably know I am a real crazy kid. Some people even said I was a good actress. I also made a prezi about our global school project.
Your probably thinking what a prezi is, well it is basically a power-point except it is way better, it has a huge map so you can make a 10 minute presentation. I only made a small 2 minute one. The topic was global school project which we did way earlier in the year. We just found out emails to different schools in different countries and asked them to send some photos of their school to see if we were the same and if we were different. The assembly was alot of fun for the actors and for the audience.

IF THE WORLD WAS 100 PEOPLE

This is my poster about the first languanges spoken in the world.  I was really suprised at how many people spoke english because if nthe world was just 100 people 5 would speak english, 12 would speak chinese and 62 would speak other languages. BAILEY OUT.

SAME, SAME BUT DIFFERENT

Heeeeeeeey,

It's Bailey and I'm here to tell you about this WEIRD LOOKING art here.

This term our class room 15 is having an assembly and the BIG theme is SAME, SAME BUT DIFFERENT. So we made some weird art where we found strips of diffent peopple and we put them together to make a face. I wanted to make it look like me so I tried my hardest to find the right strips. Comment if you think you know what the ages of all the girls in this picture are. I made another one which was a indian lady but I dont like that one very much so I wont show it. It was really hard to find the right pieces and make them look like me.

DECIMALS

Hey dudes,
In maths, we have been... arrrgh, forget it. WALT convert between percentages, fractions and decimals. Right now my group is TRYING as HARD as they CAN to understand what the teacher is going on about. For example he wrote down on our modelling book, 0.134 and then he showed us on the deci-mat what it was worth. Then he wrote down a 1\2 and said "what would this be in decimals". The answer was 0.5 but before we worked it out he showed us on the deci-mat by folding it in half.
So now my group... sort of knows what decimals are so yay another happy ending.

CROSS COUNTRY

Hey dudes,
As you probably know from my last post about cross country that I really like it and win quite often. This cross country I was a bit more nervous because I haven't been doing as much training because I wasn't playing soccer. So I thought the whole race that I was going to come 2nd or 3rd. But I was leading the whole way with a kid called, Kayla on my tail. It was VERY challenging on the last hundred metres because I was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo tired and Kayla was coming up fast. But (Amazingly and Awesomely) I came 1st. (I'm not sure if Amazingly and Awesomely and words but who cares) When I crossed the finish line I collapsed ( Don't worry I wasn't unconscious) and refused to get back up until about 5 minutes pasted. My mum presented me with a plastic gold medal which I bit while people were taking photos of me. That day was pretty awesome and I am looking forward to interschool (which I plan to win!)

ADDIN' DETAIL

In our class we are leaning to add detail to simple sentances. This is an example...
The dog barked. and this is my version of it...

The ferocious, black Pit-Bull jumped and pinned me to the ground. I struggled to get free but it held me down harder. I noticed that white foam was pouring from its mouth. I had never been so scared in my life. My heart boomed louder and louder, and the dog’s eyes got redder and redder. Suddenly, I heard a car drive past. The dog turned its head to look. I pushed it’s furry, black chest up and it fell to the ground and wiggled. It stood up and I thought it was going to attack me again. But all of a sudden it let out a loud, scary and giant bark. It echoed down the street and sounded like a lion’s enormous roar. Terrified, I ran the opposite way to the dog, towards my house. It surprisingly didn’t chase me but it just stood there staring at me. Creepy, I thought because that was the word of the day.
