STOP MOTION!!!!!!

Stop motion is taking lots of photos and putting it together to make a video.

To make a stop motion film you need to have a tripod for your camera, a digital camera and a computer with video editing software like Video Spin, Windows Movie Maker or iMovie.


Here are the steps to make your stop motion film.
First you have to make a plan for your stop motion.
After that, make a good setting relating to your video scene (make sure it is not too sunny).
Then you have to repeatedly take photos of your actors and props but with each photo you take you must move the scene, the people and the props.
After that you have to insert the camera into the computer and put the photos you took into the video editing software.

Now you can add music and sound affects to your stop motion. You can also make the movie longer or shorter by clicking and dragging a photo to make the photo show for longer or shorter time.

Now have fun sliding on your face and promote it any way you like.

Just remember ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE.

The senior syndicate went on a school trip

On Tuesday morning mostly everybody in the senior syndicate went on a school trip to the lake Karapiro dam to check out how hydro electric power works. 2 things that I learnt were that the Karapiro dam took 15 years to build and that 11 seconds of releasing water could full up 2 Olympic size swimming pools. What surprised me about the dam was when they were releasing water it went so fast. In my head I was thinking about what a great water slide it would be. Two questions I have for the dam is how do you control the dam? How do you make the gates go down or up?

OUR STOP MOTION FILM

I think it was very fun and I enjoyed making it. My favourite part was the part were the rubbish picked itself. Our stop motion film was called BIN IT.
